True. I was lucky enough to get them when I had the record store.
Well now that's something interesting I didn't know about you! I also owned a record store for several years in the late 1960s thru early 1970s. It was in Pennsylvania, USA. I too greatly expanded my personal collection during that time but very little jazz. I guess jazz needed me to be much older before appreciating it. LOL
I really got hooked on jazz when I was 17 (while I was the bassist in a punk band).
I needed to understand what I could do with the instrument, and Paul Chambers and Mingus opened my mind.
And the rest is history.
(By the way, I'm still a punk!)
